Top 3 Novels to Read During Fall Break!

Thanksgiving break is coming up, and you know what that means; NO MORE HOMEWORK! With all the free time we will have, this article is for all my book lovers out there. Here are a few recently released books to read over the break.

Pretty Dead Queens by Alexa Doone

Pretty Dead Queens is a fantastic book to read over break if you enjoy murder-mystery fiction.

It takes place in a California coastal town. After seventeen-year-old Cecelia Ellis’s mother passes away from cancer, she moves in with her estranged grandmother, a renowned author whose Victorian mansion is as creepy as the murder mysteries she writes. On the outside, Seaview appears to be completely ordinary, until Seaview High’s homecoming queen is dead and she isn’t the first homecoming queen to die. With a copycat murderer on the loose, Cecelia jumps into the investigation, hoping to solve the case just like the heroines in her grandmother's novels. But as Cecelia learns more about the town's mysteries, the more she becomes concerned that her own mystery might not have a "storybook ending."

Places We’ve Never Been by Kasie West

Do you want to curl up with a blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and read a sweet romance book? Well, Places We’ve Never Been by Kasie West is the one for you. It is a cute contemporary YA novel about a family road trip across the country that leads a girl and her childhood best friend on a path to romance.

Norah hasn’t seen her childhood best friend, Skyler, in years. Norah and Skyler used to talk all the time when he first moved away, but as years passed, their interaction has been limited to liking each other's Instagram posts. This is why Norah can’t wait for the joint RV road trip their families have planned for the summer. However, when Skyler does show up, he appears to be like he'd rather be somewhere else. Norah responds in kind, hurt, and bewildered. Her longest friendship has all of a sudden fall apart. Skyler and Norah travel across the country during the summer, finding new paths and making fresh discoveries. Soon, they are once more viewing each other from different perspectives. Can their once-friendly rivalry develop into something more?
