The end of the school year is right around the corner for the students at Loveland High School. The class of 2023 will be graduating this year! It also means it is time for the incoming freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors to start scheduling for next year's classes. Scheduling for classes isn’t always easy as everyone thinks it is. It can sometimes be stressful for those who have no idea about what classes they want to do or what interests them.
Luckily for them, the staff members of Loveland High School are here to help make scheduling easier. The Loveland High School staff members are there for those who have no idea which math, or english class they want to take. The teachers are there for anyone who is having trouble deciding which classes would be good for them and which would not.
Loveland High School will be having a “Teacher Talk Week” this week, when the students will be able to talk to their teachers about the courses they should be taking and obtaining the signatures needed. After they have obtained all the signatures required, they must fill out a Google Form in order to get the courses they want. Students must return the paper copy of their courses with the signatures by January 27th.
During Teacher Talk Week, the teachers will be talking about the courses being offered next year. Some include Computer Networking, Mystery and Detective Literature, Internship and more! Some of the courses are brand new, like the Internship course in which seniors can apply for internships and still get high school credit. While some are the alternative year courses in which it will be available one year but not the next. So think carefully about the courses you want.
The Loveland High School counselors are also there to help you decide which courses you need to take in order for you to succeed. The Loveland High School has also created a website with all the information needed to make the scheduling process easier. From graduation requirements to course descriptions to the steps needed to take in order to register for your courses.
Take my experience for example. I was struggling to choose between Honors English 11 & AP Language & Composition. In order to make the choice easier, I decided to look at the course descriptions on Honors English 11 and AP Lang & Comp found on the Loveland website. I also looked up what Physical Science and Chemistry was really about on the internet. After looking through all the information I decided to choose Honors English 11, because well AP Language & Composition would take too much of my time from my other classes, and I am not sure I will be able to keep up with the coursework.
The scheduling forms are due by January 27th! What courses are you going to take? Chemistry? Photography? Or perhaps Probability and Statistics ? What about Social Psychology? Ceramics? Computer Science? The options are endless to choose from for your schedule for the upcoming school year!
